RMagazine

Overview:
RMagazine (formerly known as Restaurant Technology Magazine) is a publication that covers technology in the restaurant industry. When they approached me, RMagazine content had slowed down but they were looking to revamp their online presence and increase their digital content output.

Project:
As the lead developer, I worked with a team to redesign and relaunch RMagazine’s website. Our goal was to transform the mostly print-based publication into a digital-first platform that released daily content. To achieve this, we implemented a third-party-supported theme and QA-tested all pages, links, and images. Additionally, I created a temporary new brand logo that was eventually kept because of its simplicity.

My main responsibility was to develop the website’s features and functionality to support lead capture and conversion. This included integrating a Sendy system for lead nurturing, adding pop-ups for newsletter signups, and implementing a notification bar. I also worked with a team of content coordinators to craft daily social media posts to promote the 25+ articles, e-books, and whitepapers that were published each week. The result of our efforts was a massive increase in site traffic. In fact, within a short period after the relaunch, we achieved a 1500% increase in site visits.
